Welcome to Evesham Jubilee A.S

Evesham Jubilee has a rich history, originally formed by a group of 60 anglers wanting to fish on the river Avon in the small market town of Evesham. Following a meeting at the Trumpet Inn at Merstow Green, Evesham on the 15th May 1897, The Jubilee Society, later to become Evesham Jubilee Angling Society was formed, taking its name from Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations during her 60th year on the throne.

Evesham Jubilee AS – 1909

The club is still going strong some 125+ years plus and is proud to be one of the oldest angling clubs in the Country. In the early years river fishing was the only option available where matches were fished along the Town, Common Road and Hampton Ferry stretches of the river Avon. But as the years have progressed from fishing matches on rivers and canals, the club now regularly hold matches on mainly Stillwater’s and commercial venues in the Worcestershire area.
