The two new pools at Libbery, Island pool and Jim’s pool will very soon be ready to open. All the work installing the 34 new fishing platforms across the two pools has now been completed as well as all the work that has been already done allowing access to the pools. All that remains was to remove the extensive weed growth from the years of neglect after previous sitting club. This work was a massive undertaking and to big even for our band of loyal members who have already put many hours of hard labour into the project. We had to call in a specialist contractor, Aquatic Solutions UK to complete the work.
We have come a very long way from the start of the fishery renovations that were started over 6 months ago, looking at the pictures below. Our team of dedicated, loyal hard working members, Jim, Rob, Alan, Richard, Gary, Bob and Pat. Your hard work will be greatly appreciated by the membership.

All there is now to do is to clear out the floating debris off the surface of both pools. We will then be adding blue dye to the water to suppress future weed growth and to give it a nice finish prior to the fishery opening which will be very soon. watch this space!
