James Gardner wins at Cob House

15 Jubilee members met at Cob House to fish the latest club match on the Laurel pool. The weather forecast was for thundery showers and for the most part members dodged the rain for most of the day with only a few showers, catching carp and Skimmers.

James Gardner followed up his win from the last match at Tunnel Barn Farm winning todays match from peg 3 with a total weight of 127lb 7oz. 2nd was Frank Wallace with another tonne plus weight of 117lb 6oz. 3rd was Richard Ford with 78lb 4oz and 4th was Nigel Cox weighing in 75lb 11oz.

Section winners were Rick Liddle 52lb 15oz and Ron Evans 48lb 11oz.

14 Jubilee members travelled to the latest club match at Tunnel Barn Farm fishing on the Extension pool. Weather wise the day was dry and bright with a slightly cooling breeze on the pool with some members sat in the shade all day while others enjoyed a bit of mid April Sun! As always the money prizes were split around with the top 5 places and 3 sections all winning cash prizes.

The fishing was patchy for all but everyone caught fish and enjoyed the day. 1st placed was James Gardner who put together an excellent bag of F1’s and Carp to weigh in 72lb 9oz. 2nd on the day was Phil Seedhouse with 57lb 10oz. 3rd was Bob Evans 37lb 12oz, 4th Chris Taylor 36lb 5oz and 5th was Steve Dobbs 34lb 10oz. Section winners were Martin Smith 30lb 9oz, Frank Wallace 30lb 2oz and Nigel Cox 23lb 11oz.

Steve Dobbs wins at the Jam Factory

14 Jubilee members fished the Ash pool at the Jam Factory on Sunday 24th March with Steve Dobbs catching an impressive weight of 98lb 2oz from the middle of the far bank for an easy win catching Carp on the short pole, ahead of Ron Evans in 2nd place with 64lb 0oz and 3rd placed was James Gardener with 52lb 8oz. Section winners were David Powell with 33lb 13oz and Richard Ford 30lb 7oz
