Following on from our last post just before Christmas work continues to progress at the clubs new forthcoming home waters at Libbery. The small dedicated group of members, Jim, Rob, Richard, Alan, Bob and Pat have put in many hours of tireless work during the winter months and have now completed work on the smaller of the two pools, now to be known as ‘Jim’s pool’ with 12 new fishing platforms installed. All that remains is to tidy up the banks and to sow some grass seed to green up the banks up and to reduce muddy areas ahead of a planned opening in April.

Work has now moved onto the the larger of the two pools, ‘Island pool’ which again requires a lot of work to give anglers access to the bankside where another 22 new fishing platforms will become available to members to fish from once the pools open. This will give the club a total of 34 pegs for members to fish and enjoy.

Work is still on-going ahead of the planned opening in April. If you would like to get involved and enjoy getting your hands dirty there is still plenty do. please get in touch.

Excellent work Jim, Rob, Alan, Richard, Bob and Pat. We all can see you all have been very busy indeed!!

Hi,
I was a member of the Jubilee the last season you were at the Jubilee pools.
Can you tell me if it’s possible to rejoin this season and when it starts and ends and cost.
These new pools look like the ones that my club dug out 20 plus years ago think they’ve also been known as 3d pools if I’m not mistaken.
Looks like some hard work has been put in by the few for the many well done !!
Kind regards Patrick

Hi Patrick. I thing these pools were originally WDUAA waters. Maybe that was a club before then?? Anyway we plan to open up the membership and set fees in April when the pools are ready.
